"A ruler is not to be appointed unless the community is first consulted." (Babylonian Talmud Berakhot 55a)

As Jews, we have a responsibility to ensure that every voice is heard and every vote is counted in the coming elections. Join Temple Israel’s Voting Rights and Reproductive Justice teams in partnering with the Union for Reform Judaism’s Religious Action Center and the Center for Common Ground’s Reclaim Our Vote Campaign as we fight for democracy in our non-partisan campaign. At TI gatherings, house parties, and in our own homes, we will postcard, text bank, and telephone voters in several states. We will work together as a community to

  • Overcome barriers to voting that target communities of color in states such as Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas
  • Win ballot measures to protect our freedoms, especially access to reproductive justice

On May 3, we will learn more with Andrea Miller, Founding Director of The Center for Common Ground. Miller was recently honored by The View.
